Dear Parents,
We just wanted to touch-base with you at this uncertain time. NWPS will open again on Friday, as will NWOOSH for both before and after school care.
As parents are being encouraged to keep children at home where they can, we realise some families will not wish to send their children to OOSH. To help us arrange staffing, food orders, etc, it would be great if you could let us know your intentions as soon as possible please.
Where students do not attend NWOOSH this week, we will be waiving fees. From Monday 30 March fees will be charged for all sessions booked unless marked as Away by midday on the Friday prior.
Marking your children as Away is very easy on our online parent portal – https://www.becklynweb.com.au/normanhurstwest/. (See attached for instructions Marking Your Child Away .) Marking your children as away during this period will ensure you retain your permanent position at the centre.
Vacation Care scheduled for the school holidays is going ahead (unless we are directed otherwise). Regrettably, we have had to cancel all excursions, however these have been replaced by a range of exciting new activities that will take place onsite at NWOOSH. Please see the new program at www.normanhurstwestoshc.com.au/vacation-care. Please let us know if you would like to change existing vacation care bookings.
We have been taking some additional measures to even further promote good hygiene, such as increased washing of hands and stopping self-service of food. We are also promoting outdoor play whilst children are at OOSH to encourage social distancing.
I want to assure you that it’s business as usual here at NWOOSH. We are very focussed on maintaining a calm and consistent environment for the children. We are in close contact with Mr McSweeney and keeping abreast of the ongoing information flow from the NSW Departments of Health and Education.
It’s a very fluid situation and we will keep you updated as changes apply to NWOOSH.
If you have any questions at all, please reach out to me or our leaders at the centre.
Kind Regards,
Roslyn Doyle
Director
